Neha Misra is the Co-Founder & Chief Collaboration Officer of Solar Sister – an award-winning innovation addressing energy poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa through a women-driven last mile distribution model. Neha is a global champion for improving sustainable energy for all through gender inclusive approaches that recognize and advance women’s critical role as clean energy consumers, educators, managers and entrepreneurs. In 2017, Neha was named a Presidential Leadership Scholar, a partnership between the presidential centers of George W. Bush, William J. Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Lyndon B. Johnson for leaders committed to solving society’s greatest challenges. Neha is a Solar Suitcase Ambassador for We Care Solar – bringing solar energy solutions to advance maternal healthcare, and Spring 2016 Fellow for The Coaching Fellowship which recognizes extraordinary women leaders globally. In 2015, Neha climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa to raise awareness about Solar Sister’s mission.
