Maria del Pilar Restrepo Mesa
Dr. Maria del Pilar Restrepo Mesa is currently the environment deputy director of the Metropolitan Area of the Aburrá Valley. She is a specialist on environmental management with an emphasis on energy projects. She graduated from the National University of Medellin, Colombia and also has a Master's Degree in Environment and Development at the same university. She has worked as Director of the Agricultural Planning program of the municipality of Medellin, advisor to the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, advisor to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, director of the EPM Foundation, Head of the program for Water Conservation of Empresas Públicas de Medellín (EPM) and professor at the National University of Colombia. She has worked also in companies such as ISA, Center for Science and Technology of Antioquia (CTA) and Foundation Codesarrollo, and today SOCYA. She is currently the environment deputy director of the Metropolitan Area of the Aburrá Valley.
