Biography

Manuel Barron is an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at Pacifico University in Peru. He holds a PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California at Berkeley, an MSc in Development Economics from the University of Oxford, and a BA in Economics from Catholic University in Peru. His recent research investigates how electrification affects household wellbeing, the relation between electricity reliability and firm behavior, and the long term effects of in-utero weather fluctuations. As part of ENERGIA RA 5, he is studying how gender composition affects firm behavior in clean energy microenterprises in Rwanda.
