Inger Anette Sandvand Dahlen began her career in development at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where she worked as policy advisor and was responsible for portfolios within environment, natural resource management and renewable energy. During her five years in Tanzania, she worked closely with local NGOs engaged in the clean cook stoves as well as the fuels sector. I n her current role at Norad, she provides advice to the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and embassies regarding renewable energy projects and policy issues. She is a member of the board for the Norwegian Programme for Capacity Development in Higher Education and Research for Development within the Fields of Energy and Petroleum. She has an undergraduate degree in Development and International Affairs from University of Bergen and University of Cape Town, and holds a master degree in Social Science from University of Oslo.
