Fiza Farhan is an expert on national and global issues regarding gender equality, renewable energy, access to rural water projects, climate change, inclusive impact investment and sustainable social development. She specializes is developing innovative partnerships that integrate multiple internal and external stakeholders in “win-win” scenarios. She is also an expert on rural off-grid energy access projects using innovative financing mechanisms, multiple models of technology deployment and the unique nexus of women's economic empowerment. She has represented Pakistan twice in Forbes' magazine's “30 Under 30” list of Social Entrepreneurs in 2015 and 2016, reflecting internationally recognized innovations she has launched in energy access, clean financing and women's empowerment. She participated on the UN Secretary-General’s first ever High Level Panel on Women Economic Empowerment,. She was also appointed Chairperson to a Task Force on Women Empowerment by the Chief Minister of Punjab. She continues to represent Pakistan on multiple global platforms, including the UN Foundation, ADB Energy for ALL, SEforALL Network, UN Global Compact and World Energy Council.
