What is the Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) Forum?
The SEforALL Forum is the landmark gathering celebrating innovation and action in the global sustainable energy movement. SEforALL is an international nonprofit organization working with leaders in government, the private sector and civil society to drive further, faster action toward achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7), which calls for universal access to sustainable energy by 2030, and the Paris Climate Agreement, which calls for reducing greenhouse gas emissions to limit climate warming to below 2° C.
What is this year’s theme?
Under the theme “Leaving No One Behind,” the Forum takes place at a pivotal juncture for accelerating progress on global sustainable energy goals — under SDG7 — and the Paris Climate Agreement. At stake are significant populations that are missing out on education, health, jobs and broader economic opportunities because they do not have access to clean, affordable energy. Closing these energy gaps — especially for ‘last mile’ populations — is the Forum‘s imperative.
When is the Forum?
The Forum will take place over two days, Wednesday, 2 May 2018 and Thursday, 3 May 2018, from 9:00 am – 6:30 pm. Registration and coffee will open at 8:00 am. The Forum program will begin at 9:00 am.
Where will this year’s Forum be held?
This year’s Forum will be held in Lisbon, Portugal. With its recognition as a leading city for sustainability and its proximity and accessibility to Africa and the rest of Europe, Lisbon provides an ideal location. It will take place in the Convento do Beato in a historic part of Lisbon, rich in tradition and culture and close to the Tagus River.

Who will attend the Forum?
More than 750 high-level representatives from government, business, civil society and international organizations will gather for the Forum. Last year’s Forum welcomed delegates from more than 100 countries.
How do I register for the Forum? Is there a cost?
Early Bird registration lasts until 31 March 2018 and is $300. After that the registration fee will be $400.

Why is there a registration fee for the Forum this year when there hasn’t been in years past?
To improve the overall experience for participants, the Forum this year has a registration fee. This fee includes access to all activities over the two-day Forum, including plenary sessions with high-profile speakers, deep dive discussion sessions, and partner working sessions which provide an opportunity to interact with leading figures in this movement. It also covers access to the exhibition as well as food, including continental breakfasts, lunches, and refreshment breaks. As in previous years, SEforALL supports participation in the Forum by those in the sustainable energy for all movement and who because of financial constraints would not be able to attend otherwise.
